Hondón de los Frailes Patron Saint Festivities 2025: Celebration in Honor of the Virgin of Health (Virgen de la Salud)

The 2025 patron saint festivities of Hondón de los Frailes are approaching, offering locals and visitors a unique experience full of tradition, culture, and fun. In honor of the Virgin of Health (Virgen de la Salud), the town will be filled with activities for all ages from Saturday, August 23 to Sunday, September 1.

From the gachamigas contest to Valencian Pilota matches, a cycling tour, tasting of traditional products, and street bands, the festival days combine religious ceremonies and festive events that should not be missed. Additionally, there will be fireworks, parades, funfair stalls on Friday and Saturday, and evening dances that extend the celebration late into the night.

Highlights of the Hondón de los Frailes Festivities

Thursday: Cabasset dinner with live music and the Salve to the Virgin of Health, an emotional and devotional moment.
Friday: Floral offering to the Patroness, accompanied by the Unión Musical de Hondón de los Frailes band, filling the streets with music.
Saturday: Colorful float parade through the town center.
Sunday: Solemn procession in honor of the Virgin of Health, again accompanied by the band, a touching experience for residents and visitors.
Monday: Family fun with “Calderás” (water races), giant communal paella, children’s games, and Baralla Valenciana, a traditional game everyone is invited to join.
