Idyllic landscape

A few weeks ago the Alicante Maravillas team enjoyed a day in the Cala del Moraig and Cala Llebeig, very close to Moraira. We recommend you this beautiful trip, a little more than 1 hour and a half from our Hondon Valley.

Do you know this paradisiacal place?

One of the Calas that we love the most of the Costa Blanca and by far, is the Cala del Moraig. Between Javea and Denia we find this idyllic place, flanked by impressive cliffs.

If we are adventurous and we like hiking, we can make the route of the cliffs (Ruta dels Penya-segats), which runs along a mountain path between the wild Cala Llebeig and Cala del Moraig.

Cala Llebeig is one of the few unspoiled beaches in the province of Alicante, where time seems to stand still. We leave the car in one of the streets of the urbanization and access it by the path SL-CV50, which descends through the “Barranco de la Viuda”, a route between the mountain whose access is only possible on foot or from the sea. The end has its reward, transparent waters, crystal clear, bright turquoise blue.

In the area you can still see old buildings that were used as lookout points against the possible incursion of contraband tobacco, fabrics or coffee, as well as fishermen's shelters that are still in use today.

Taking the path that ascends from the cala towards the mountain we reach the Cala del Moraig, another paradise for our eyes. The path leads us along the impressive cliffs that line the coast of Benitatxell. One of the jewels of this cala is the Cova dels Arcs.  Enjoying a swim in this cala is a privilege.

Surround yourself with the Mediterranean Sea and nature.
