100 Years of History in Hondón de los Frailes: Centenary of Its Municipal Independence
This weekend Hondón de los Frailes celebrates a very special moment: the centenary of its separation on 9 May 1926, one hundred years of history as an independent municipality, with its own identity and collective pride.
For us, this anniversary holds a deeply personal meaning.
We are Francisco and Ana Abad, from Alicante Maravillas, born in Hondón de los Frailes and belonging to this town for generations. We have grown up here, among its streets, its people and its surroundings, which have always been part of our lives.
That is why taking part in and experiencing these events is not just attending an institutional or historical celebration. It is a genuine emotion, a reunion with our roots and a tribute to all the generations who have built the town we know today.
Hondón de los Frailes is not only where we work. It is our home, our history and our identity.
