August Sounds Like Music in Hondón de los Frailes
On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August, Hondón de los Frailes hosts the 5th edition of the now emblematic Conciertos del Fraile, a musical series that has become a must-see summer event in the heart of Alicante’s countryside.
Organised by the Department of Culture of the Hondón de los Frailes Town Hall, these concerts feature top-quality live performances in a unique setting: open-air, under the starry sky of the valley.

Saturday 9 August – Zoot Suiters
Get ready for a night full of rhythm and elegance with Zoot Suiters, a band that will transport you to the golden age of swing and jazz. Their repertoire blends classics with modern arrangements in pure big band style.
A show to dance, enjoy, and get carried away by the vintage energy and charisma of this unique ensemble.
Sunday 10 August – Banda Sinfónica de Elche + Carmen María Rodríguez
Symphonic music meets pop-rock in this stunning closing concert. The prestigious Banda Sinfónica de Elche, conducted by Felipe Martínez, will accompany Carmen María Rodríguez, finalist of The Voice Spain 2023, in a performance full of emotion, vocal power, and sensitivity.
A unique chance to enjoy popular hits in symphonic version, performed by one of the most promising voices of the Spanish music scene.
Location & Time:
The Conciertos del Fraile 2025 will take place at the frontón court of the municipal sports centre (Calle Olimpiada, Hondón de los Frailes), a spacious outdoor venue ideal for enjoying live music in a natural setting.
Both concerts will begin at 8:00 p.m., just in time to enjoy the golden light of the sunset and the cool evening air. Admission is free until capacity is reached, so it’s best to arrive early to get a good spot.
